Allen Love '88, '90 MPA, '23 Hon.
Allen Love is the Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Security at TD Bank. Prior to this role, Allen served as the Senior Vice President and Head of the Corporate Defense Group where he was responsible for Fraud Risk Management, Global Security & Investigations, Enterprise Insider Risk and Privacy-FATCA for TD Bank Group. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing programs and frameworks that protect the Bank, its Customers and Colleagues against ever evolving threats to their economic, personal and physical well-being. Allen previously served as the Senior Vice President and Co-Head Global Anti-Money Laundering Officer for TD Bank Group and Bank Secrecy Act Officer for TD Bank and TDGUS at which time he was jointly responsible for the implementation and day-to-day oversight of the Global AML program and solely responsible for the BSA program for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank.
Allen was previously Vice President of Compliance at the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and AML/BSA Officer for the Depository Warehouse Trust. He began his career as a Special Agent for the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the IRS where he conducted and supervised numerous financial crimes investigations.
Allen has held senior compliance positions at GE Commercial Finance and PayPal where he served as the Global AML Officer for each and was a Senior Director at KPMG overseeing proactive and reactive engagements pertaining to financial crime.
Allen is currently on the Board of Governors of the University of New Haven, and serves as Vice Chairman on the Urban League of Philadelphia. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Haven, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Executive Development Program. In May 2023, Allen received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of New Haven.
