Ophelie Rowe-Allen, Ed.D.
As Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Ophelie Rowe-Allen oversees the Accessibility Resources Center, Career Development Center, Center for Student Engagement, Leadership and Orientation (CSELO), Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Dining Services, the Office of Graduate and International Student Life, Health Services, Immigration Services, the Myatt Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of Residential Life, and Spiritual Life & Campus Ministry. Dr. Rowe-Allen is co-chair of the IDEA Council (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access).
Dr. Rowe-Allen has been in Student Affairs for 15 years. Prior to joining the University in July 2020, she was Associate Dean and Director of Residence Life for more than ten years at Fairfield University. She has also been the Director of Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Fairfield. She has led many key initiatives such as the developing residential living and learning programs including the Sophomore Residential College at Fairfield. Ophelie’s main interests are on staff development and creating holistic approaches for student success focusing on equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Ms. Rowe-Allen earned his Ed.D. at Argosy University in 2016 and received her M.S. (2005) and B.S. (2003) degrees at St. Thomas University.
