About Phil
Phil spent seven years at another private institution in Connecticut where he received both his undergraduate degree in Business Management and his Master's degree in Business Administration. While an undergraduate Phil played on the men’s basketball team and he was captain as a senior, he was a member of Student Government, and he was Secretary of his class. Phil was a Graduate Assistant for the Finance Department and the Computer Center, and after graduating he worked as Assistant to the Chief Information Officer responsible for the student and administrative telephone and cable television billing and work order systems and he presented at Student Orientation for his department.
Phil's corporate experience consists of more than 17 years of financial management in Sales, Operations and Strategic Account Management in a fast-paced investment services industry where he worked for AXA Distributors and American Skandia. He managed customer relations and provided critical business analysis to ensure product data integrity throughout the sales process. Phil worked with best-in-class reporting and initiative recommendations that were used across all areas of the organization working with executive management to help shape and develop strategic decisions. Phil was also a founding team member of a tech startup, Carsquare.com, a one-stop shopping portal to search multiple sites for a vehicle in one simple search experience.
Phil is excited to be back in the forefront of the university environment because he enjoys working with students and helping them with the process of making an important decision of continuing their education in higher learning in pursuit of achieving their future dreams and aspirations.
