The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Families Council is a volunteer group of dedicated current families who serve as advocates, advisors, and donors committed to advancing the University’s mission and enriching the student experience.

We suggest a minimum annual gift of $500, which can also be made as a convenient monthly donation.

Member Responsibilities

  • Attend two council meetings annually and participate in conference calls when available
  • Act as an ambassador for the University by staying informed about its programs and priorities
  • Recommend and assist in recruiting other volunteer leaders
  • Host events featuring the president, deans, and other University leaders upon request
  • Serve as a resource for development officers to foster connections with prospective donors and organizations
  • Collaborate with development staff to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from individuals
  • Advocate for the University’s goals and encourage others to support its mission
  • Help identify and address key issues relevant to families of University of New Haven students
  • Contribute to parent and family fundraising initiatives
