Michael Lawlor, associate professor of criminal justice and acting associate dean of the Lee College, reflects back on his more than 30 years as a faculty member and his connection to the University that dates back to his time in high school. He also looked back on his time as a member of the Connecticut General Assembly, a recent award he received for his work on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community, some of the classes he teaches, and what differentiates the Lee College. “There is something very special about this place,” he said. “It is so interesting for me to work with young people because I feel very strongly about the criminal justice system.”
